Dr. Sara Valdebenito

Dr. Sara Valdebenito is an Assistant Professor in Applied Criminology and Police Management at the University of Cambridge and an internationally recognised expert in evidence-based policy. Her research is dedicated to the prevention of violence and crime and the advancement of human well-being through the rigorous use of scientific evidence. She specialises in advanced statistical methodologies, including impact evaluations, multilevel meta-analysis, and the application of predictive models and machine learning to inform early intervention and risk assessment in policing and public safety. Beyond academia, Dr. Valdebenito works as a consultant on violence prevention and institutional reform for global organisations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as for national and international police services across Europe and Latin America.
